T-shirt manufacturers use many terms to describe their not always consistent, and it helps to be a reference guide.

Control of the European Union: an international organization that provides certification services for various programs including many organic certification programs. Confirms the USDA organic, and Gots (Global Organic Textile Standard ).
Cotton Jersey: Knitted, very slightly stretchy fabric with a smooth, flat face and a more textured, but uniform back. The average weight per yard is about 5.5 to 6 grams. Basic T-shirts are made of cotton jersey. Fine cotton jersey is usually smoother and has less weight per yard.
Cotton: , natural fiber that is most popular in the world for fabrics. Cotton fibers are usually ½ to 2 inches long. Longer fibers produce finer fabrics of cotton. Varieties such as Pima and Egyptian, with fiber exceeds 1.5 inches, more respected than the ordinary varieties.
Crew Neck: round close-fitting neckline. The most common neck t-shirt.

Fine Cotton Jersey: Knitted, very slightly stretchy fabric with a smooth, flat face and a more textured, but uniform back. Fine cotton jersey is usually smoother and has less weight per yard than regular cotton jersey. T-shirts made with fine cotton jersey with a better drape and feel than regular shirts. Usually with 30 or more cotton thread, and weighs about 4.3 grams per square yard.
Fitted Cut: Definitions vary, but generally equipped section refers to the cut that flatters the body. It is used often in women shirts, shirts middle part will be stronger than the top or bottom. All in all, the shirts run smaller than the basic full cut.

Gots: stands for the Global Organic Textile Standard.Projekt International Working Group. They have developed standards to ensure the organic status of textiles, from harvesting, production, labeling, and to provide credible assurance to the end t-shirt that meets the standards can be certified Gots.
Green: a generic term used by marketing gurus to promote products. Another favorite phrase "green-washing," who are jumping on the bandwagon of the environment, without any real commitment.
Green-washing: Take off the term "whites", but in the context of environmental protection. Companies that are green-washing paying lip-service care for the environment to attract more business, but have not taken any real steps to be environmentally responsible.
Hand: so the fabric feels which feels soft and smooth is considered to have a good hand.
Jemp fabrics: hemp, or cannabis sativa, was used in fabrics for thousands of years, mainly as an industrial fabric. Newer methods of treatment are suitable for finer clothes, and now it is used in many products, garments, including T-shirts. Hemp is valued for its strength and durability.
Henley T-Shirt: Similarly, collarless polo shirt, a sweater Henley t-shirt with 2 or 3 buttons (sometimes up to 5 keys are used, but it is rarely ). Henley may be short or long sleeves.

Knit: Specifies that locking loops of yarn constituting the fabric. There are many types of weaves. Jersey Knit is commonly found in T-shirts and the most durable and knits. It is light, and fine vertical ribs. On the other side, rib knits are heavy ribs running down the fabric, while the interlock knits are used for very fine fabrics. T-shirt collars are usually rib knit.

Ring Spun: refers to the yarn by twisting and thinning a rope of cotton fibers. Continuous spins results in a softer feel and a stronger yarn. Ring-spun T-shirts are noticeably softer to the touch.
Sand Wash:. refers to the use of sand, and wash clothing or fabric to soften and distress
Scoop Neck: A broad, gently curved neckline that varies in depth. Favored in the women's shirts.
Sheer Jersey: is very lightweight jersey knit, weighing about 3.9 grams per stretchier of fine jersey.
Side by side bar: a thin strip of fabric sewn over the seam running across the shoulders and neck area. It covers the seam and looks better than the exposed point.
Collection: generally refers to the amount of cotton clothing and can be expected to decrease. Most of the cotton shirts are already reduced, but 4-5% shrinkage, and still be expected.
Side Seamed: refers to the t-shirt with a seam running down each side under the arm sleeves to the bottom edge. Side seamed shirts are more expensive to produce.
Silicone Wash: refers to the use of inert silicone in the washing process. Produces a very smooth and soft finish on the fabric, and also gives a good fabric draping qualities.
